HIRING PROCESS
We accept applications at all times, not just when there is an opening. One applicant may be considered for several jobs. Qualified applications are sent to teams with openings for review. Candidates who appear to best meet our needs are invited for an interview. As a rule, we do not reimburse applicants for travel or other interview expenses. Candidates may be asked to complete a writing exercise or other testing at the time of their interview. Human Resources conducts reference checks on the candidate that most meets the needs of the position. With good references, a hiring authorization is completed and sent to the President/CEO for review. The President/CEO is the only person authorized to make a hiring commitment. A representative of Human Resources makes a verbal offer by phone and if accepted, arranges for the pre-employment drug screen. The drug screen must be completed within 24 hours of the verbal job offer. If the results are negative, the applicant is notified by mail. Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is also required for some positions. Applicants who are interviewed but, not selected are notified by phone or by mail. Applications are kept for consideration of future openings for three months. This process may be time consuming but it is important to us to find the best match.SALARIES
Our policy is to pay salaries that are externally competitive and internally equitable. Every year we receive local, regional and national salary data, which we use to keep competitive. Each job has been rated according to a standardized system and assigned to a pay grade. Starting salaries depend upon position, experience and education. Benefits are another important part of total compensation and they are summarized on a separate sheet.Another benefit to working with us at Comprehensive is that we have fun! We have employee recognition events, employee social gatherings, and bowling nights. We offer education reimbursement plans, frequent on-site training and we are committed to diversity in both our staff and client populations. Our work teams provide support and direction to new staff.
