Suicide Awareness for Everyone (SAFE)

Suicide Awareness for Everyone consists of free community-wide training consisting of three individually developed courses.

Suicide Awareness Training - Designed for community groups, service clubs, schools, and other organizations, this 15-30 minute training reviews suicide risks, covers basic crisis services, and describes other CWCMH trainings available.

Natural Community Helper Training - A 60-90 minute training designed to raise suicide awareness and teach the basic skills for conducting a brief suicide intervention and referral process. This training emphasizes how everyone can effectively "ask the question" to help prevent suicides.

Suicide Prevention Training - This 3 to 4 hour training is for social and human service professionals. The training gives more detail on risk and protective factors and can be tailored to meet the needs of the group receiving the training.
