Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health

Outpatient Therapy Services

We believe in the power of the individual to recover from mental health and substance use disorders. In some cases symptoms of illness can be eliminated completely. In other cases, we can help you to learn long-term symptom management techniques. The process is no different from someone learning to manage any other chronic condition such as asthma or diabetes.

Comprehensive provides evaluation and treatment to adults and seniors experiencing a broad spectrum of behavioral or emotional problems.

Using innovative, proven, evidenced based practices, our clinical staff will help you to maintain a healthy and productive life.

Services offered by Comprehensive clinicians include:

  • mental health and substance use disorder assessments
  • individual, couple, family, and group therapy
  • specially designed treatment services for individuals suffering from co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • services to nursing homes and their residents
  • therapy and case management services in home and community settings
  • consultation with medical professionals, social service staff, and other community organizations

Case management services provide supportive counseling and advocacy in a variety of ways including:

  • accessing appropriate treatment
  • coordinating treatment with other providers
  • monitoring clients and stabilizing individual's psychiatric symptoms
  • helping clients obtain income and medical assistance, housing, employment, and/or transportation
  • providing clients social and living skills training
  • assisting with other day-to-day activities

Psychiatric Services

Psychiatric services are provided at all Comprehensive offices by board certified or board eligible psychiatrists, advanced registered nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Comprehensive medical staff include specialists who work with children, adults, and seniors.

Initial psychiatric evaluations assist in determining diagnosis, developing treatment plans, and, if necessary, determining appropriate medication for each client.

During follow-up visits, psychiatrists evaluate treatment progress, monitor symptoms and evaluate the effectiveness of prescribed medications. Comprehensive psychiatrists maintain privileges at local hospitals and can arrange for and provide inpatient care or consultation.

Working in conjunction with your primary care provider, our medical staff can either stabilize your symptoms and then transition your psychiatric care back to your primary care provider, or provide long term care and management of your symptoms.
